Hello future readers who decided check out my article, you might be curious on how to calculate your overall STPM pointer. So you have decided to typed in google like "How to calculate STPM pointer", "Cara mengira pointer STPM", “STPM 成绩计算方式” and so on.
For those who still don't know how to calculate STPM pointer here's a link for you to refer.
The purpose of calculating our STPM pointer beforehand is to set our self a goal.
I'll recommend you to start counting as early as you enter Form 6 and as late as you getting your STPM Sem 1 result.
Let's say you wanted to aim 3.5 for your STPM pointer result.
Then you need strategize on which subject you should score the least in order to achieve 3.5 for your STPM.
At first you might think, "Hmm that's easy I guess I will just calculate it on a piece of paper." , and yes that was also my thought when I try to set this goal.
But the process of writing on a piece of paper is so troublesome, you need to calculate them one by one. Is time consuming and what's worse about it that when you have a terrible handwriting, it makes the process so messy, tedious and demotivating. Even you record somewhere in phone/laptop there's a chance that you will calculate wrong by mistake.
So I have decided to create a spreadsheet to calculate STPM pointer automatically.
This spreadsheet had remove the problem
1. Messiness
2. Human Error
3. Time Consuming
